Publishing

Our Publishing Imprints

One publishing house, three publishing labels. Each imprint has a clear audience and purpose, so a book is placed where its readers will look for it.

Flagship general imprint

Shhalaj

General and adult publishing, mainly in English: non-fiction, self-help and personal development, business, biography and memoir, fiction, poetry, history and culture.

Children's imprint

Mind Melodies

English-language children's publishing: storybooks, picture books, early readers, learning and activity books, and cultural stories.

Academic and professional imprint

Readworthy Press

Academic, scholarly, educational and professional publishing, for researchers, students, institutions and professionals.

How a Book Finds Its Imprint

An imprint is chosen mainly by the audience, purpose and positioning of a book. Language is a secondary consideration, unless language is itself the defining character of the imprint. Shhalaj Publishing House is the parent publisher, and the imprints are publishing labels within it rather than separate companies.

If you are not sure where your manuscript belongs, you do not need to decide. Tell us about the book and we will suggest the right imprint as part of the conversation.

Find the Right Home for Your Book

Whichever publishing route you choose, we will place your book with the imprint that suits its readers.
