Editorial and Production

Every book deserves thoughtful editorial work, professional design and quality production.

Editorial and manuscript development

Making the manuscript the best version of itself

Depending on the book, the editorial work can include:

  • Manuscript evaluation: an assessment of structure, strengths and readiness.
  • Developmental editing: structure, flow, chapter organisation and coherence.
  • Copyediting: language, consistency and clarity.
  • Proofreading: a final check before production files are approved.

Editorial quality, clarity, structure and readability are essential to us. Technology and AI may assist our work but never replace human judgement, and the author gives final approval of the manuscript.

Design and production

Making the book easy to read and built to last

  • Cover design suited to the subject and the reader.
  • Interior design and typesetting for print and digital editions.
  • Print and ebook preparation in the formats you agree.
  • ISBN and metadata support where applicable, so the book can be found and ordered.
  • Proof approval through the Author Portal before publication.

Interiors are black and white unless colour is agreed in writing. Colour interiors are quoted separately.

You See Your Book Take Shape

Through the Author Portal you can follow production progress, review files and approve proofs, so there are no surprises on publication day.
